Pet Urn Size Chart

The industry rule of thumb: one cubic inch of urn capacity per pound of body weight. A 20-lb dog needs at least a 20 cu in urn. Use the chart below to find the right size.

Pet WeightMin. Urn SizeSize Category
Under 10 lbs10 cu inExtra Small
10–25 lbs25 cu inSmall
25–50 lbs50 cu inMedium
50–75 lbs75 cu inLarge
75–100 lbs100 cu inExtra Large
Over 100 lbs100+ cu inJumbo / Custom

Note: cremated remains ("ashes") typically weigh about 3–4% of the pet's live body weight — so a 50-lb dog yields roughly 1.5–2 lbs of ashes, which fits in a 50 cu in urn with room to spare. When in doubt, size up.
