1. Who We Are
FloridaPetsAftercare.com is an independent pet cremation directory serving Florida families. We are not affiliated with any listed provider. Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@floridapetsaftercare.com.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to operate the directory:
- Email address and name — when you voluntarily sign up for provider update notifications.
- Chat messages — text you send to the AI chat assistant is transmitted to OpenRouter and Anthropic to generate a response. Messages are not stored in our database.
- Usage data — page views, clicks, device information, approximate location, and referral data collected through Vercel Analytics, Google Analytics, and the Meta Pixel.
- Business inquiries — information a provider or commercial partner submits through a listing, sponsorship, or account form.
We do not directly store complete payment-card details, government IDs, or sensitive health records. If paid business services are offered, payment details are handled by the disclosed payment processor.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To send you email notifications about new verified providers near you (only if you opted in).
- To respond to questions or requests you send us directly.
- To understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
We do not sell or rent subscriber information. Analytics and advertising technology providers may process limited event and device data under their own privacy terms.
4. Email Communications
Subscriber emails and public family resources are free. If you sign up, you may receive up to 1–2 emails per month about new resources or directory updates. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. We do not sell subscriber email addresses.
5. Cookies & Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics, Google Analytics (GA4), and the Meta Pixel to understand site usage, measure conversions, and improve outreach. These services may use cookies or similar technologies. You can limit cookies in your browser and opt out of GA4 by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Browser privacy controls and Meta's privacy settings may provide additional choices.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following services to operate the site:
- Supabase — database hosting for provider listings and email signups.
- Vercel — website hosting and deployment.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- OpenRouter / Anthropic — AI chat assistant responses.
- Google Analytics — anonymous traffic analysis.
- Meta — conversion measurement through the Meta Pixel.
- Affiliate partners — attribution when a visitor follows a sponsored affiliate link.
- Payment processor — secure billing for optional business services if and when those services are activated.
7. Data Retention
Email addresses collected via signup are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics default settings (26 months). Chat messages are not stored in our database beyond your session. See OpenRouter's privacy policy and Anthropic's privacy policy for their data handling.
8. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Email hello@floridapetsaftercare.com. We will respond within 30 days. Florida residents may also have rights under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights (effective 2024).
9. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
